Celebrating 25 years of Incognito at the Yale

Vancouver R&B band, Incognito celebrates their 25th year anniversary at The Yale on Thursday, August 28 with the release of their fifth CD THE LONG WAY. This no cover charge event will feature the polished and creative talents of Incognito at the absolute top of their collective game. Incognito came together in 1983 under the direction of lead and slide guitarist Rob Montgomery, who lays down lines that are as cleverly constructed as they are uncluttered and to the point. Oliver Conway is at centre stage as lead vocalist, guitarist and tunesmith, propelling the band into a blend of material that will satisfy any well-rounded roots-rock fan. The band’s rhythm section with Bob Popowich on bass and Darrell Mayes on drums provides the reliable and slinky groove that has made this veteran band a cool mainstay of Vancouver’s music scene for a remarkable 25 years. Incognito’s 25th year anniversary celebration and CD release begins at 9pm. Incognito takes the stage beginning at 9:45pm. No cover charge.
