McIlwaine Playing the blues at the Yale

Legendary slide guitar player Ellen McIlwaine injects her fiery brand of blues onstage at The Yale on Thursday, March 20. McIlwaine is a gutsy and spirited performer who is known for her folk-rock hybrid renderings and vocal acrobatics. McIlwaine appeared on the Greenwich Village scene during the mid-to-late 60’s, sharing the stage with greats such as Odetta, Richie Havens, Howlin’ Wolf, Mississippi John Hurt, Jimi Hendrix, and Muddy Waters. Doors open at 7pm. Show time begins at 8pm.
