DJ Leanne Created Western Canada’s first DJ School in 2001. She developed her own DJ Course Curriculum and has taught over 600 students (and counting!), many of which perform locally and internationally on a regular basis.
Leanne has been spinning since 1994. She’s performed opening DJ sets for Deep Dish, Kaskade, Miguel Migs, Boy George, Little Louie Vega, Mark Farina, DJ Heather, etc
A major player in Canada's House Music scene, she currently runs Vancouver's leading 'Music Stylist' events company: GirlOnWax Events with international celebrities as clients.
The GirlOnWax as received awards such as ‘Best DJ’ for the Clubvibes Nightlife Awards, The Georgia Straight People’s Choice Best DJ & The Westender’s Favourite DJ Award.
Leanne loves DJing because: “I have a huge passion for music, people and dancing…which is what DJing is all about! Spinning music your favourite music for crowds of dancers is such a rush.”
