Reason #1 to be a good host
To wrap up this blog session. I'm presenting one of the most compelling reasons to come down to Granville.YUMMY BRAZILIAN BOYS! haha. Wait! There's a point!
Granville's where heritage mixes with contemporary, business tangos with pleasure... and the hottest people chill at the coolest venues. Come February, it will be where the world mixes with a turnover of 6,000 people/hour on the corner of Robson and Granville alone.
So what are you waiting for? Do your local duty and entertain our guests from out of town.
Parasuco Sidewalk Sale
Parasuco is having a sidewalk sale with significant discounts (up to 50% off) . As you can see from the photo, some gorgeous Italian quality jeans with rhinestone Fleur de Lys have made their way to a sale rack! HUZZAH!
Parasuco jeans are favored by celebrities such as Halle Barry, Hilary Duff, and J-Lo.
Bobsleigh with Pierre Lueders
There's a freaking bobsleigh mounted over the London Drugs sign (Granville and Georgia). Clearly its not just for awe factor or decorative value. Theres a promotion to win an opportunity to Bobsleigh with an Olympic and World Champion. See store for details.
Lunarfest setting up on Granville
Granville Street will be lit with a beautiful lantern forest and public art during the games. Set up began earlier this week with some of the public art pieces going up today as Starbucks connoisseurs looked on. Approximately 6 were installed today but I'm only going to tease with you one. Come down on Friday night for the official lighting of the lantern forest and see the other public art pieces.
Hot Tip: Bring your sweetheart down to Granville on Valentines and celebrate the Lunar New Year Festivities, while basking in the romance of the lights.
McDonald's is getting a new skin
McDonald's is closed right now while it undergoes last minute renovations before the games hit the town. Already skinned with Olympic messaging "There's gold in the air" with an image of their signature yummy fries underneath. The store is a flurry of activity so it will be interesting to see what further changes they will make to an already new store.
Sneak Peak at the Old Buffalo Club
The doors have been closed for a while, but like I said, there's plenty of renos and new businesses going into the street right now. Walked past the old Buffalo club and managed to sneak a peak. It's gonna be gorgeous when its done.
