BC’s Best Teen Band Contest

Youthink Magazine and Tom Lee Music are holding a contest to crown BC’s Best Teen Band. BC teens between the ages of 13-18 are invited to enter (some exceptions will be made for bands with a few members outside of this range). Although the contest is titled BC's Best Teen Band, please note that solo artists are eligible to enter as long as they play original music and play an instrument.

It’s official, Ingledew’s will be a shoe box pick up and drop off location for Operation Christmas Child this fall. With the loss of Canada Safeway stores as drop off locations, Ingledew’s Shoes has stepped up to the plate. Empty (and recycled) shoe boxes can be picked up at any Ingledew’s location now until November 20th. Blues for the Bank

thornleyHayne Creative Communications is pleased to announce Blues for the Bank IV, a fundraising event in support of the Surrey Food Bank’s Tiny Bundles Program to be held at The Yale on Thursday, November 18 from 6-9pm.

The Surrey Food Bank provides food related assistance to over 13,000 low income residents in the areas of Surrey and North Delta. Over 43% are children and babies. The Tiny Bundles Program helps to ensure that babies of up to one year of age receive adequate formula, pablum and jarred baby food on a weekly basis. Blues for the Bank IV will feature music by Agent C and Top Secret, comprised of local advertising agency executives Chris Thornley and Bruce Hayne. Joining them on stage will be special guests Dave Gilbert, Bill Kudenchuk, Kenn Moyer, Brian Linnit, and John Irving.

Tickets for Blues for the Bank IV are $15 and can be purchased in advance by contacting the Surrey Food Bank at 604-581-5443 or thornleyHayne Creative Communications at 604-581-2827. Tickets will also be pre-sold at The Yale and available at the door during the night of the benefit.
