Learn the World of Sake at Shuraku...
On July 2nd, Vancouver's first sake bar - Shuraku Japanese Bistro - is collaborating with Japan's renowned sake maker, Yoshi-no-Gawa, to host a Japanese Sake Maker's Dinner.
Guests will be offered an educational tasting of five kinds of premium sake ranging from Honjozo, Junmai, Organic Junmai, Ginjo & Dai-ginjo, alongside multiple courses of traditional Japanese cuisine. Learn about the sake making process, the history behind the brewing, and pairing dishes using vinegar, salt, soy sauce, miso, and sugar.

Tom Lee Music's 40th Anniversary
Tomorrow, Saturday June 6th, Tom Lee Music is celebrating their 40th anniversary. At all locations from 10AM to 6PM Tom Lee will be having free product giveaways, one day specials, live local music and a free 'Hot Dog Guitar-B-Que'.

Harbour Dance Summer Intensive Program
Harbour Dance Center (927 Granville St) is holding their 22nd annual Summer Intensive program. It consists of 10-13 classes, a week in dance, voice, fitness, performance and other dance related studies.
Up to 18 people are accepted into the program each semester; acceptance is by audition only. The program features international guest teachers and will focus on contemporary jazz, ballet, tap, hip-hop, modern, musical theatre, breakdance, African fusion, and house.
The next audition for the program will be Saturday, July 18th at 4:00PM.

The Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA) would like to recruit 2 young and/or regular shoppers on Granville Street to participate in a re-branding exercise.
Through the DVBIA's Place Making & Marketing Committee, we've engaged a communications company called Change to help us develop a new/re-freshed brand for Granville Street to go along with the new street itself. We hope to launch it in the fall with the formal re-opening of the street. We're looking for a few regular shoppers/customers of Granville Street to add to our list. If you're interested, you just need to make yourself available for 15-20 minutes for a telephone interview at your convenience in the next few weeks.
